Course overview
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Awareness
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) awareness helps create workplaces where everyone is treated fairly and has equal opportunities to succeed. This course explores how our actions, attitudes, and behaviours can contribute to a respectful and inclusive environment.
Recognising differences
Understand how people's beliefs, experiences and cultural backgrounds shape who they are.
Removing barriers
Explore how organisations can identify and remove barriers that may prevent people from feeling welcome or included.
Understanding bias
Recognise unconscious bias and learn strategies to reduce its impact on decisions and behaviour.
Speaking up
Learn how to challenge discrimination respectfully and report unacceptable behaviour when it occurs.
Through this course, participants will explore how diversity strengthens organisations and communities. You will examine how inclusive practices create environments where people feel respected, supported, and able to contribute their best work.
Topics include recognising differences between individuals, understanding unconscious bias, promoting equal access to opportunities, and addressing behaviours that undermine inclusion.
By the end of the course, you will have a clearer understanding of how to contribute to a respectful and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and supported.
